Writing was something that I used to keep to myself in the form of journals and I have many going back as far as age four. It’s only in the last three years that I have started sharing what I write with others, and how wonderful it is to receive comments on topics that I thought wouldn’t have been of interest to anyone else. I feel very grateful to everyone who has supported me with my writing challenge and have compiled a little list of things I am truly grateful for. So, I would like to thank:
1. The blogosphere
Without this vehicle to blog with, this task possibly wouldn’t have happened. I’ve found blogging with WordPress a great way to network with others.
2. My readers/subscribers
Thank you all very much for your support and comments. It’s bizarre how I feel like I know some of you when we’ve never even met. On the days that I felt like I couldn’t even do another day of my challenge, I received some great encouragement in the comments (you know who you are – thank you).
3. The blog awards
Thank you to those that nominated me for awards – they certainly lifted me up and kept me going. The first award was from The Literary Mum Amy Marie Newman for the Kreativ Blogger award. Then came the Versatile Blogger Award from Vikki (The View Outside), followed by The Very Inspiring Blogger Award from Janet Koops (Postcard Fiction). Finally a few weeks ago, I received Versatile Blogger Award again from Heart Whispers.
4. My work colleagues/friends and family
Thank you for reading what I write, listening to me going on about my blog and for all the suggestions you gave me for posts. I also want to thank my partner and girls for being so patient each day this year whilst I have disappeared off to the computer to blog! (I’ll be spending a lot more time with you all from now on – I promise!).
5. My secret blog editor
Thank you to my dad. He patiently waits for my daily post and then kindly emails me if I’ve made any accidental spelling, grammar or punctuation errors. Hopefully nothing too drastic today dad! (Note 284 – Have you got a secret blog editor?).
I hope I will continue to inspire you with future posts and you will stick with me throughout my writing career.
Must dash – I’m baking a cake with my girls (pictures to follow).
Until tomorrow…the final post of my challenge!
