It only seemed like the other day when I mentioned that I had 100 days to go until my writing challenge ends. Now I’m starting the 50 day countdown; after today there will be 50 more posts and then who knows! eBooks, more posts, new challenge – the world is my oyster (wonder where that saying comes from?).
I was inspired to write this post this evening, when a friend at work left a comment on Facebook earlier saying “Have you seriously written 315 notes?” (which made me realise how many days I had to go). The answer to his question is yes; however, it feels like more than that as I also update other blogs as well as replying to comments, leaving comments on other people’s blogs, editing books, updating notebooks and so on. It can be very tiring some days!
What has kept me going
- The supportive comments from my readers. Thank you to my regular readers, as well as those who ‘like’ the posts and leave comments (thanks again – you know who you are). If I ever do create eBooks from the entries in this blog, your comments could feature in them.
- My determination to be a better writer. Just knowing that I have learnt something new every day for the last 315 days makes me feel more confident when writing and editing. To think that so much has passed me by (prior to May last year) that I never looked up and learnt; however, not much slips by me these days.
- Knowing that I am helping others. Whilst working with my mentor last month to create my own personal doing statement, which incorporates what I love to do, I came up with the following statement: “I love making things easy for other people to understand”. When I learn something new, I don’t just write about it, I try to write about it in a way that makes it easy for others to understand and learn it too. What I’ve discovered is that I’ve been doing that for years, but just didn’t realise that I should be doing more of it in order to achieve my goals in life.
If you have any requests for my last 50 blog posts, please leave a comment below and I’ll try my best to fit it in.
I have had a fantastic weekend – hope you have too.
Until tomorrow…
Sandra

I don’t know if you’ve already done it hon, as I haven’t read back to No 1 lol, but, I would like to know what writing books you’ve found helpful? Have you got a particular writing book that is “your bible”?
Congratulations by the way, woohoo!!!!!! 🙂

Hi Vikki Thank you! I have probably added a reference to a book if I have mentioned it, but that’s a great idea to list a few in a post. Thanks again – you’ve provided the most comments so far by the way! Sandra 🙂
